CORD BLOOD COLLECTION
Cord blood is known to be a rich source of stem cells, the building blocks of all blood cells. Banking your newborn's cord blood

The Baby Suites at Brandon Regional Hospital is one of the largest obstetrical providers in Hillsborough County, with over 65,000
births and offers Level III Neonatal Intensive Care. In addition to these services, we also offer the latest in diagnostic testing and
equipment for expectant mothers and high risk pregnancies.

PREPARING AND CARING FOR BABY

You can obtain your test results two convenient ways:
When prompted enter your social security number and your 6 digit date of birth (MMDDYY)
Please note: If you have not supplied the office with your social security number you will not be
able to obtain your results through Lab Calls.
FREE PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM CLASSES
Brandon Regional Hospital offers free classes to all registered patients.

PRENATAL TOURS
2nd Monday, 7:30 p.m.; 4th Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.;
Sundays, (Alternating) 3:00 p.m.
This class is designed for pregnant women planning to
deliver at Brandon Regional Hospital. In addition to the
tour, you will learn everything you need to know to plan for
your hospital stay and delivery. Women may bring one
adult guest - no children please.
ONE-DAY INTENSIVE CHILDBIRTH CLASS
2nd and 3rd Saturdays 9:00 a,m, - 5:00 p.m,
This compact, one day program covers the signs and
stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, the
importance of the labor coach and medical interventions,
including C-sections. Please bring your labor "coach" if
possible, and pillows and a blanket.
4-WEEK PREPARED CHILDBIRTH
Mondays 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
This four week course covers the signs, symptoms and
stages of labor, breathing and relaxation skills for labor
and birth, the importance of the labor coach, and medical
interventions including C-sections. Please bring a blanket
and pillow and one adult coach is encouraged to attend.
PREPARING TO BREASTFEED
2ND Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
For women planning to breastfeed, this class focuses on
the benefits of breastfeeding, how to get started,
potential challenges, using a pump and preparing to go
back to work. A partner/coach is encouraged to attend.
NEWBORN CARE CLASS
Mondays at 6:00 p.m. & Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
Both parents are encouraged to attend to learn more
about attachment and bonding with their baby through
everyday routines. Newborn reflexes and senses,
understanding crying as a primary motivator, and
newborn routines such as bathing, dressing, feeding
and sleep are discussed.
GESTATIONAL DIABETES CLASSES
Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
The program includes: Medical Nutrition Therapy,
Monitoring - Use of Meter, Insulin Therapy: Exercise
Guidelines, Overall Health.
FIT4BABY
1st and 3rd Tuesdays. 6:30-7:30 p.m.
This prenatal exercise program is designed to
strengthen the body for all the changes it will experience
during pregnancy. The 60 minute indoor class includes
cardio, strength, flexibility and balance training. Fit4Baby
is designed to accommodate all stages of pregnancy
and various fitness levels. These classes are for
pregnant women and moms. Please make
arrangements for childcare as we are not able to provide
this service.
BOOT CAMP FOR NEW DADS

The class teaches expectant and new dads everything
they need to know about newborns, from feeding to
diapering. "Veteran" fathers are on hand to show rookie
dads the ropes.
