OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS AND PREGNANCY

Some over the counter medications can cause problems during pregnancy.  Pain relievers such
as aspirin and ibuprofen may be harmful to the fetus.  The medications listed below are safe
during pregnancy.  Please call our office before you take any over the counter medications not
listed below. The telephone triage medical assistants in our office are trained to answer
questions regarding over the counter medications.  If she does not have the answer, she will
consult one of the physicians and get back with you with an appropriate response within a
reasonable length of time.
